Welcome
I’m glad you’re here. It’s hard work finding a therapist, & it takes courage to reach out.
My approach to therapy
Person-centered & humanistic
We human beings have much in common, & we are also unique individuals. I’m here to listen & to learn about you: your experiences, values, concerns, strengths, & goals.
Evidence-based
Like science? Me too! I don’t bring anything into therapy that hasn’t held up to scientific scrutiny. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in its many forms & sub-types.
Affirming & validating
I’m here to support you, to hold a safe space for you & let you know that whatever you are experiencing, you are not in it alone.
Trauma-informed
I understand how trauma occurs, & how it leaves lasting impacts. I’m here to guide you through it, & help you connect to your inner well of resilience & find healing.
The bitterroot is a survivor.
But you might not guess that by looking at one. A tiny sprig of green leaves, growing from a thick taproot. It is found in remarkably inhospitable landscapes - in the arid heat, from gravelly soil to rocky cliffs. It is known to be able to go an entire year without water, springing back to life when conditions improve. It can withstand heavy metals that would quickly kill other plants. When it blooms, the stunning, delicate-looking flowers completely overshadow the rest of the plant. They have nourished indigenous peoples for thousands of years. They are highly resilient and truly beautiful.

About me
Hello! I’m Kambra (she/her, they/them). I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology & a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, & have been seeing clients since 2022. Since early childhood I’ve been insatiably curious & driven to understand people and the world we live in.
I have experience working in private practice, as well as within in an integrated primary practice medical clinic. At my core, I am an evidence-based practitioner trained in the humanistic style. You are the expert on yourself & your experience, & I am the expert in the science of psychology. We each play a crucial role in the therapeutic process, & together we can accomplish your goals.
I primarily utilize different types of CBT, as well as DBT, ACT, & ERP. My specialties are anxiety, OCD, depression, insomnia, diagnosis & assessment, self-actualization & identity, body image, existential concerns, & relationship concerns. I particularly enjoy working with teens, young adults, & women. I have a thorough understanding of both trauma & attachment.
I have called Washington home for my entire life, first in a rural community, then in the city, and now again in a rural community. I love the PNW.

I practice in an integrative manner, which means that your goals shape our sessions. I tailor the techniques & treatment plan to best meet your needs. We might have specific goals, homework, & structured therapy, or we might play it by ear from week to week, or we might work with a combination of both. Ultimately, your needs are what define our agenda.
I often use psychoeducation with my clients. I have found that most folks find it helpful to understand how their brains & bodies work in relation to the concerns we’re working on in counseling. I’m passionate about neurophysiology, & I love finding ways to teach this information that makes it easy to understand and apply in your day-to-day life. This is particularly true when working with trauma & anxiety.
You can expect mindfulness, humor, warmth, validation & support, & science-backed treatment that meets you where you are. Swearing, dark jokes, & pets on camera are all welcome, but not required.
